Cattus Island County Park is a beautiful waterfront park, perfect for anyone looking to unwind and connect with nature. The trails are spacious, well-maintained, and surrounded by forests, marshes, and serene water views. Along the way, you can spot birds, crabs, and a variety of native plants — a great spot for hiking and photography lovers alike.
The atmosphere is peaceful, with shaded areas, wooden boardwalks, and scenic overlooks that invite you to slow down and take in the beauty around you. There’s also a nature center where visitors can learn more about the local wildlife and ecosystem. A wonderful place to visit with family, friends, or just to enjoy some quiet time outdoors.

Lovely park, very clean, dog friendly, nice wide trail which is well maintained. Easy walk to the water with tons of wildlife. Blue herons, egrets, chipmunks, plus an obviously haunted tree and mushrooms as big as a dinner plate. 😁

Hard to believe you are in Toms River. Great combination of hiking trails, water views and environmental exploration. Trails could be marked a little better so pay attention when you are hiking.

Great place, fun close up little fish and reptiles for kids in their environmental center. Nice walking trail over wooden bridge. Playground is nice.

I can't believe this place is only an hour away from me, and I've never been here before. A beautiful trail, family-friendly, and great for a walk with dogs.
