I went to see Dr Bortniker around a year ago when my rare bouts of vertigo increased to multiple times a week and it became unbearable. I was nervous to drive or ride my bike and the bouts of vertigo would come out of nowhere and would be incapacitating. I made the appointment thinking I was going to learn the physical therapy exercises to loosen the crystals in my auditory system. Dr Bortniker quickly explained that my type of vertigo would not be helped by this treatment. After confirming no major internal causes by a negative brain scan, he prescribed a medication that has been shown to help my type of vertigo. After adjusting the dose over the first 2 months, i have been on the medication for around a year now and have not had a bout of vertigo that was impactful to my life in over 8 months now. It has truly been a life changing treatment for me, I am so grateful I went to see Dr Bortniker !!!!!!!!

Called by office that Dr Borniker wanted to discuss results of biopsy. Arrived waited more than 30 minutes past appointment finally called to exam room. Dr B enters reads his laptop, saying “you had a biopsy of polyp - did you get your result?” Told him that was purpose of this appointment
(he didn’t know?? ). He may be a good Dr. - but clearly little to no prep for consults - tries to “figure them out” during consult and that makes you feel like a number - not a person. Anxiously thought reason for personal consult was a malignancy - and sat there while Dr B tried to “figure out” why I was there (his office called to set consult - they could have given result by phone it was good news.) Memorable for wrong reason. Makes one wonder what details get overlooked?

Just reading reply by office of Dr Borniker (or him) below. This is seriously concerning because I described exactly what happened. He reviewed his laptop reading notes as we sat in silence waiting for him to speak (after asking if we got the results he was to give us in that appointment). If I were to lie, it wouldn't be about something so simple to fix. It's ironic that he details he reviews all results and comes into the meeting advised. He literally scrolled all the notes while we were there, and we clarified what we thought was incomplete. Is there a way to report false responses reviews to Google? To come off like "This is all false" - - should make one wonder. I have nothing to gain from simple truth. I shared our experience - which according to Dr's reply is not his reality - - so it's clear, nothing will likely change. Admitting the issue is the first step to addressing it. If I'm wrong, it's his reality only. Not mine.

Last summer I experience vertigo but since I can remember also had motion sickness, sensitivity to light, ringing in the ears and some other symptoms always thinking it was normal. To me at least but the vertigo was a new one wich it was not going away with the usual medicine the Urget care Dr recommended to see an ENT I'm glad I did, found Dr. Borniker wich immediately new what was my problem I never knew I had. Vestibular migraine he prescribed nortriptyline and I'm feeling so much better.

I don’t l know the cause, but one day the hearing in my left ear was muffled…I yawned throughout the day and didn’t think too much of it. Next day, I could hardly hear anything. Following day it was completely dead. I went to see my PCP, who said it was likely wax or stuffiness from a cold. PCP did an ear flush and told me to try Sudafed. I tried that and by the next day I had a hunch that that wasn’t the correct course of action. So I requested a referral to Dr. Bortniker.

Dr. B didn’t have any availability, but upon hearing my conditions, his staff squeezed me in that day. He is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, friendly and thorough. He told me the likely causes, different treatment plans and potential complications I could have (due to my diabetes). He coordinated my treatment plan with my endocrinologist to ensure I was ok on the diabetes side.

After 4-5 days, I got a tiny bit of hearing back. A little bit returned each subsequent day. I’m now a month from the initial meeting and am near 100% hearing. I can’t thanks Dr. B enough for healing me. 5 stars almost feels insufficient.
