Hamilton United Martial Arts Academy

took my son to a few schools in the Hamilton / Robbinsville area. I trained in Tang Soo Do as a kid and wanted a school with traditional values and standards. Every other school we visited was a complete McDojo -- it was apparent that they were a business more than an academy and unfortunately I feel that schools like these are the reason why the traditional styles get such a bad rep in the martial arts community.

We observed a few classes and saw that unlike the others, Hamilton United was centered around focus and discipline rather than just fun. The instructors care about the quality of their students training and making sure they are physically and mentally strong. I also love that the parents and teachers at school play a significant role in holding students accountable and taught responsibility both on and off the mat.

If you are looking for a serious school that values tradition, there really is no competition. I cannot wait to see how my son grows throughout his martial arts journey.

My son hasn't been going to this school very long, maybe 6 months. It was apparent from the start that this was a great school. The instructors encourage the kids everyday, they instill discipline, and they make learning self defense fun, when they can.

But after tonight, it was made abundantly clear how much these instructors care for the kids. During a private lesson, the owner, Rae took the time to talk through issues that my son has been dealing with at school and making sure he is equipped with the skills to defend himself and remove himself from situations when he can.

The owner and her instructors really care for all the kids that attend the school. And each class my son either "learns something new, gets better at something old, or gets a good workout"! I HIGHLY recommend this school to anyone, of any age to experience Taekwondo and learn from the best!

Aside from self defense and exercise, my son has shown improvement with his mental health. Take the plunge and sign up for a class! You have nothing to lose

I stumbled upon this place by accident actually. A former student recommended this academy to me by word of mouth because I was looking for a Taekwondo Academy for my daughter. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that the instructors were mostly female, which is what I was looking for! So I say this was all meant to be!

My daughter has been here for about 2.5 years. She started in the Little Dragons and is now currently a blue belt, testing for senior blue belt soon. She loves this place so much! She has gotten the chance to compete in competitions and is now a member of the Black Belt Club!

I am so thrilled to see the progress she is making not only in her behavior, but also in her character. I also love the fact that this academy is like a family and they are very supportive of everyone. The teachers Ms. Sophia and Ms. Sypher as well as the assistant instructors Mr. Possible, Ms. Perhacs, Mr. Shah, etc. are all so kind and encouraging to the students. They really are such great role models for the kids to look up to. All of the Taekwondo kids have such great manners, very kind, considerate, and welcoming. I still highly recommend this academy even after over 2 years of being here! Best decision our family has ever made.

I am so happy that I found this taekwondo studio. I have seen such an improvement already in my daughter's confidence and focus. She loves going to class and enjoys working towards small goals each week and feeling proud of her accomplishments. I cannot say enough great things about this place. She has become so much more confident and focused. Since starting these classes. If you are looking for a taekwondo studio i highly recommend this place!!! Looking forward to many years with this place.

We love this academy and we think it’s the best!! The instructors are caring and dedicated. Our son has been training at this academy for 5 years. He started at a very young age, and has loved and learn so much. The instructors take the time to work with each student and help them succeed.

I feel training at this academy was one of the best things we did for our son. They have helped him with his confidence, kind heart, his strength and self-defense. I also love the life lessons they have taught their students through marital arts. Thank you for all you do for your students.

My son has been actively involved in this academy since the age of 6, he is now 13. I applaud Miss. Sypher and her team in the way she runs classes. She allows her students to grow in all aspects of their health. My son has made great friends while also learning self discipline. An added benefit is that they also run summer camps for younger kids.
