Hearing Center

I’m a 60-year-old male. I lost my hearing in my right ear five years ago due to Ménière’s disease and I also suffer from severe tinnitus in my right ear as well. Knowing nothing about hearing aids I shopped around and was referred to the hearing center from my ENT. That’s when I met Dr. Alexis Rooney who dramatically changed my life for the better. She is the most caring an amazing doctor and I was blessed to have found her. I work in a quarry which noise levels vary from quiet to extremely loud and with her help she was able to get me the perfect hearing aids for all conditions. They are even synced to my iPhone which makes everything that much better. She has been so patient and understanding through the whole process which made a terrible time in my life really all good. And I got quality of life back.Thank you again to Dr. Rooney and the entire staff at the hearing center. I would most definitely recommend you to anybody.

Dr. Rooney is a very clear communicator regarding use of my hearing aids. I understood and felt much more at ease after she explained the problems I was having. She removed two cones stuck inside each of my ears, something she had never seen before. Dr.Rooney gave me different company ones that fit better and are not releasing themselves from the hearing aid, hurting my ears, and making me less able to hear. I look forward to working with Dr. Rooney again.

I just wanted to take a minute to give some deserved praise to Dr. Alexis Rooney. She has been helping with my new Resound hearing aids. It’s been a challenge but she has been tireless in finding ways to help me to improve my experience with the new HA.

I realize every patient is different and my unique hearing loss will probably require more HA adjustments than usual. She’s been extremely attentive, always promptly answering my questions, responding to emails, offering helpful suggestions and advice, and contacting the manufacturer for solutions to some HA problems.

Dr Puglisi is the best! My dad barely speaks English but she was able to make him feel comfortable with the hearing test and showing him how to use his earpieces. They even give him a better set than the one the insurance approved. Great personal and excellent people skills. Awesome place!
