Great for apple picking and more. No entry fee. 1/2 peck of apples for $13 or a bushel for $30. Clean and organized (varieties clearly labeled, walking areas well maintained, and bathroom was very clean). They had pickers readily available, wheel barrows, and pull carts. I only saw one picnic table by the apple orchard so fyi not a place for picnicking.
The owner and staff were welcoming and friendly. We came at the end of the season so the corn maze and wagon ride wasn’t open, but there was still pumpkin and popcorn picking, plus the market and animal farm…plenty to do! I love that it was dog friendly. I brought my dog and cat and they LOVED IT. Do note pets are not allowed in the market or other barns though.
Other activities: an animal farm that cost $3 per person and in the same area, a huge sandbox and slide for kids, plus other fun props to take pics.
Apple cider donuts are delicious. I would have liked to see more variety in the market hall and also signage for food items. Coffee and tea, for example is available but I had to ask the clerk as there was no sign. In the market hall they sell lots of handmade goods like soaps, jams, candles, as well as a selection of meats, baked goods, and other gifts like t-shirts and home decor. I kind of expected to see more apple scented stuff and wish they offered pies in smaller sizes.
Overall a lovely farm and great way to spend the day! 10/10 will come again! :)
Not a hotel, it's a farmers market, it's nice, it's just small, not a lot to do, we had an employee appreciation event there, food was ok, apple cider donuts did Not disappoint, wagon ride was fun, Staff was Awesome! Had a blast picking Sunflowers in the rain with my employees! Good time overall!
Fun family outing. Enjoy the music. Pick some sunflowers. Dash through the corn maze. Ride the haywagon. Climb on the tractors. Feed the chickens and the goats. See the ponies. Dig in the sandbox. Enjoy the best cider donuts I've ever had. Come see for yourself!
Not a hotel. It's a day trip.
The team at Johnson's Locust Hall Farm made our wedding day truly special. Their communication was always clear, quick, and supportive throughout the entire planning process. The venue itself is beautiful, intentionally designed, and impeccably well-maintained. We toured many farm venues, and this one stood out immediately. When a thunderstorm hit 10 minutes before our outdoor ceremony, the staff jumped into action and seamlessly shifted the order of events around to hold cocktail hour while the storm passed. They were even able to get us back outside on magically dry seats, fulfilling our dream of an outdoor ceremony. Avery and the entire team were incredibly accommodating, running every detail by us and ensuring we had the final say. Our guests have not stopped raving about the stunning venue and the warm, welcoming staff. Avery, Carol, Allie, and everyone else have hearts of gold. Johnson's also offers in-house florals - Carol and Allie's attention to detail and willingness to work with us on budget were so appreciated. I feel so lucky to have been married at Johnson's Locust Hall Farm. Do not think twice about choosing this venue!
