I shopped around and asked the same questions at different shops around the state. I found the staff at Lou's ask you the proper questions and make you feel comfortable. They're attentive, knowledgeable, and spend time with you to help you make your choices. Big thanks to Chris and Pat for helping me select my firearms.... couldn't be happier

On March 19th 2025 I visited Lou's firearms with a buddy. I was looking for information and prices for my first shotgun. I met Chris and Patrick. I can't say enough good things about these guys they are very personable, and have a great sense of humor. The information and professionalism provided was absolutely top notch. The amount of time and patience Patrick provided and the questions I had was met with overwhelming valuable options but gave me tons of information which ultimately put me on a good solid path to follow. Thanks Patrick. You are a great fella. I felt comfortable asking anything and didn't feel silly or judged as a new guy. It's like you're just talking with friends. I couldn't recommend them more! 5 stars!

If you’re looking for a place where they’ll shower you with compliments and treat you like royalty based on how much you spend—look elsewhere. At Lou’s Firearms in Raritan, everyone is just another customer, and that’s exactly how it should be. Chris doesn’t push extra sales, doesn’t care if you drop $50 or $5,000, and won’t waste your time with sales pitches. He just gets the job done—efficiently and hassle-free. He’s direct, knowledgeable, and not here to hold your hand, which I respect. If you’re easily offended, this might not be your vibe, but if you want a smooth, no-nonsense transfer or purchase, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!

Pat and Chris were very knowledgeable in terms of weapons. They were extremely patient in helping me decide which firearm to purchase. The service was top notch and the customer service excepcional. Best place for first buyers and those already skilled. Thumbs up!
