Dr. McMillan was recommended to me by my physical therapist. I was very happy with his service and his mannerisms. I felt very comfortable with him operating on my shoulder. I'm still in recovery, but the therapist seems to think I'm ahead of schedule so that's another plus.
The x-ray technician lacked compassion and care to my disability while positioning and rushing me.
It felt personal / discriminatory, or was miserable and wanted to go home.
However, the rest of the staff including the Doctors were accommodating and attentive
I had a bad shoulder injury that didn't get fixed very well by a previous doctor. I needed more work done and went to see Dr. McMillan. He's worked wonders on trying to repair what's basically a destroyed shoulder and has continued to keep me functional and improved my quality of life. Not only is he a great doctor and surgeon, he's a great person. Always easy to talk with and even though he's always very busy, he never makes the visits feel rushed. I'd recommend him to anyone and everyone.
Dr. McMillan was the best thing to ever happen to me. I have been serving in the military for almost 2 decades and have had the pleasure of maintaining the aircraft in the world’s greatest Air Force. Unfortunately, it has taken a toll on my body. I have had chronic shoulder pain for the over a decade and it was always dismissed as arthritis and never taken seriously. This past summer I was stretching post workout and heard what can only be described as cardboard tearing and I was unable to use my arm with normal activity for almost 2 weeks. When I went to my PCM he suggested physical therapy and wouldn’t push for an MRI until PT didn’t help. PT helped with my range of motion but the pain got worse. Finally got an MRI and a referral to an Ortho. Within minutes of meeting and talking to Dr McMillan he was able to diagnose my issue and set a firm treatment plan. I’m currently a week and a half post op and my pain is much less than what I had in my shoulder to begin with. I haven’t heard any clicking or popping whatsoever so far and I’m amazed at my recovery process based on everything that was done. Also, he must have had a turnover in staff because I’ve had nothing but a great experience with them. His staff always returns messages on MyChart as well as phone calls. I’ve had issues with my insurance and his office has been able to take care of them and press forward like true professionals. I can’t speak for other’s experience but mine has truly been great.
I had a surgery done for my knee recently. My surgery team were some of the best people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. They were kind, caring, understanding, and very helpful for me throughout the entire process. I'm very happy this was the place I got the surgery done at. Very pleased and thankful to Dr. McMillan and his whole team.
