Not quite sure others have had issues here. I called the main number on the website to talk with someone prior to explain a situation I had with another blood donation center (not Vitalant) and they had no problem explaining their process. I made an appointment online and when I arrived the only problem I had was making sure I went in the right building. Upon arrival, everyone was courteous and verified all my information and vitals. The phlebotomist was great, she stuck me and I barely felt it. I have gone to many donation centers in the past and I have to say that this was actually a great experience. Thank you!
I had an appointment for noon on 11/26. When I arrived 5 minutes early there was a line outside of the locked door. When they finally opened the door a few minutes AFTER noon, there was no apology or greeting, just “who is first?” When I asked if they go by appointment times I was told whoever was first would be registered first. So what’s the purpose of making an appointment?
Warm, friendly and efficient staff makes donating blood on my lunch break a piece of cake.
First donation was awesome a few months ago. Today, I wasted my time and planned around this appointment. No one showed up and door is locked. Most annoying and frustrating.
This is a convenient and friendly facility. They are efficient, and of course giving blood is so important. I don't mind the calls to schedule a donation, because so few people give blood that it's good to be reminded. If I can't help then, I just ask for a call at a different time.
