Unfortunately this diner is nothing like the jersey diner you expect. Ordered a pastrami Reuben expecting fresh sliced pastrami piled high on rye. They give you 4 soggy slices of rye each with 3 sad slices of reheated pastrami. Nothing about it was fresh, and I'm pretty sure the sauerkraut was spoiled. It was absolutely awful. The pancakes and breakfast food were all decent.
Usually have a great experience here, but have been noticing that when the hoildays season that place turns into a mess. Our last experience wasn't good at all. And the host gave my mother attitude that was uncalled for. What ever happen to customer service. The place doesn't enough seats for all the customers with the kids.. and it seem if the dinner rooms gets the waitstaff gets overwhelmed and forgets about customers and messes up orders. Even with the new tablets. Maybe the wait staff should practice the tablets instead of chit chatting or playing on their cellphones(which they dont seem to have an issue with) when not busy. I have to say the busers and the chefs are amazing. Food, soups, and specials are always great. And the bussers empty and ctuen over tables with speed and cleanliness.
Pleasantly surprised at how good this breakfast was. Bro got the Ruben sandwich which they enjoyed. Bacon was crispy, hash browns were tasty and service was prompt and attentive.
.
Food was better than expected, my philly wrap was fresh and juicy, and the Artichoke and spinach dip really creamy.
The sweet potato fries were thin and lil bit soggy but tasted good.
The chocolate cake was really good, moist and fluffy. It's worth a try.
All in all, we had a really good dinner with 2 appetizers, 2 main courses, and cake for less than 50 bucks.
the server Alexandra was really nice and attentive.
I come in not feeling good. Danielle & Nicole, the best. They took care of me. Teas and liver, puddings and love. The food is all made to order. It’s wild. The best diner I’ve ever been to. Tastes more like a farm to table restaurant than diner food. I’m proud of them. The sisters were cute too - very important for the experience
