I would like to publicly say Thank You to Tomoko! She was referred to me by another violinist to play at our wedding in May 2022, and we were really happy with everything; from the initial introduction to the eventual performance during our ceremony and cocktail hour. Tomoko was always very responsive, flexible and professional in our planning and she displayed her versatility and expertise in taking on a few new requests that fell outside of her music catalogue. I was amazed and comforted at not only how willing she was to learn the songs, but also to incorporate the background tracks using the looper pedal, which was masterful. I knew we made the correct choice when our guests were gathered together singing along to one of the songs she was playing! I would recommend Tomoko for any other special events and would also trust her to be a stellar instructor for anyone looking for violin lessons. Tomoko is an incredible teacher; I took violin lessons with her as an adult learner, and she was so patient and kind. She has an excellent way of explaining things (like vibrato or hand position) and makes difficult tasks easier to understand. She challenged me when I needed it, and made sure I was learning songs I enjoyed on top of the typical starting songs. Take lessons with Tomoko, she is AWESOME!!
