High Spirits Liquor Mart

I hate to even write this but feel compelled in case anyone else has the same experience. I have been going to this liquor store for almost 15 years. The couple has always been very sweet, welcoming and very helpful when looking for something specific. However, recently I bought a bottle of Bailey's and 2 small nip bottles of the cherry Bailey's that he has behind the counter. I've had cherry Bailey's before. As soon as I got home, I drank the 2 bottles with my girlfriend and we both looked at each other with pure disgust. Looked at the date on the bottle and it says, "BBE 10/2020" which to any establishment in the market knows that means the date of minimum durability, A.K.A. do not drink after this date as it probably won't be good. Considering Bailey's has dairy in it and the date I drank it which was 7/22/2022, that means it was definitely bad. I brought back the 2 bottles, not for a refund but to look out for a small business that I frequently go to and help them understand they are selling bad bottles of Bailey's. Well unfortunately as I tried to do the right thing, the male owner was not happy with me. He basically tried to tell me that the date doesn't matter and its fine and tried to get me to leave because he didn't care what I was telling him. No it's not fine. Then he didn't even bother to apologize or compensate me for purchasing a 2 year expired bottle of liquor that has dairy in it and tell me that that's how it's supposed to taste. Please listen to your loyal customers as they try to help your business. Sincerely, a loyal customer.

Great Place! You can find everything you need at High Spirits Liquor Mart! Great assortment of gifts. Stocked well. Priced well. Wide variety. The owners are incredibly nice! I have been shopping there for over 15 years. I strongly recommend this establishment 🥂

Such a good down home style liquor store. The owners are very friendly and make you feel welcome and at home. If you are a return customer you'll always get certain specials and they'll welcome you warmly! This is my definite daily go-to liquor store.

High Spirits is mt local liquor store, just down the street from me. It's an independently run (presumably) husband & wife store, I've always found them to be friendly, accommodating when it comes to making recommendations for items I purchase which I'm not too well familiar with, & they have a great selection of items! Prices are reasonable, and I can always count on friendly & courteous service when I wander in to pick up what I need. If you live in the Little Neck area, and are looking for a decent liquor store with a wide variety of spirits, I would highly recommend check these folks out.
