This past trip was the fifth time staying at the Inn and it was great. Nancy sets up the house very nice for the holidays and the accommodations are fantastic.
What a wonderful weekend getaway B&B that blew me away with its charm, history, and so convenient to all the local wineries and Walkway Over the Hudson bridge. It was everything I pictured a local B&B to be and more. The owner operator was so kind, attentive, and helpful leaving little notes to help out of towners. I highly recommend this place and would definitely come back.
My wife and I spent two very enjoyable days at the Inn at Twaalfskill. It's an elegant but unpretentious B&B. Our room and bathroom were very comfortable and well appointed. The breakfasts were delicious but not over the top. The property is set back and very attractive. The owner, Nancy, was very friendly and helpful in suggesting restaurants and things to do. Highland is very close to the Walk Across the Hudson State Park, as well as the FDR Home and Museum, and the Vanderbilt Mansion. All in all, it was a fine place for a short get away. Highly recommended.
I have been at Inn at Twaalfskill a few times and every time I visit, I make a mental note to return. I have been in different B&B places around New York, Long Island, NJ but Inn at Twaalfskill is the best B& B i have visited so far. The house is extremely clean and cozy, tastefully furnished. Breakfast is to die for. Nancy is a talanted host. Great place to relax and explore surrounding areas.
Our family loved our stay at the Inn at Twaalfskill for 3 nights in November - Nancy is a wonderful host and the inn is both immaculate and perfectly located. Our rooms were large, clean, and well-appointed. Nancy noticed our likes and dislikes and went all out to cater to them. The location was perfect for exploring the area, visiting nearby towns and the nearby Culinary Institute and FDR Library. We went out each morning on the walking trails, including the Walkway Over the Hudson a short stroll away. The breakfasts were sumptuous, with different savory and sweet options each morning, always accompanied by a fruit and yogurt parfait and freshly baked goodies. The common area was kept well stocked with fruit, snacks, and beverages each day. Highest recommendation - we will definitely be returning.
