OCLI Vision Patchogue

I went to OCLI for cataract surgeries with Dr. Whittpenn, 5 years ago. Superb skills and exceptional care, I being a Type 1 diabetic since 1962.
His thoroughness and care will be definitely so appreciated till so many years to come. Unfortunately dr. Whittpenn retired. Glad he did,he well deserves it but I was and am...HE..took care of me. Another thank you God.
I'm writing this review to comment on my calling to cancel,as a courtesy, my appointment with Dr. Chubak. I never had him and I canceled because I am going to 2 eye Drs.in the near future.
Today is Monday, November 3,2025 the Patchogue office. Could not get any one on the phone for 25 minutes. That's why I wrote this review.

From the moment you walk into the office to the last goodbye- every staff member, every technician, and every doctor is pleasant, friendly, courteous, and helpful. Regardless of what you may have to handle in accordance with your own health issues, it’s always a more comforting experience when your surroundings are supportive and kind. OCLI has always had superior doctors and surgeons that you can confidently count on to be the best in the field regardless of the physical location, but this Patchogue office- hands down- has the best supporting staff these doctors could ask for; I’m so glad I switched office locations from the Jericho turnpike East Northport branch. Since Dr Davis retired from that location, 80% of the staff have not been well trained nor well suited to professionalism and presenting themselves well to patients. I’m glad the Patchogue location maintains high standards when hiring their employees.
I must also add that Dr. Adam is an incredibly competent doctor and treats every patient with care and respect. After my cataract surgery and out of an abundance of caution I was directed to see him for follow up. After the first visit, he assured me that all was well, and again, out of an abundance of caution saw me twice more. At every visit, he treated me as if my concerns and the follow-up exams were all equally as important as the very first appointment. He remembered me each and every time and was not only a thorough doctor, but a gentleman as well.

Always a good experience at my appointments. All of the staff are pleasant to deal with and know their jobs. Dr. Singleton is very professional and I trust her completely. I am very happy with my first cataract surgery and cant wait for the second surgery.
