My son has been taking piano lessons with Tatiana for 2 years (started when he was 5 and he is 7 now), and we couldn’t be happier! She is incredibly patient and encouraging. She has a wonderful way of tailoring her teaching style to my son, making learning fun while also ensuring that he continues to improve.
Since starting lessons, my son has always looked forward to his going to his lessons. He said he has a lot of fun playing piano and learning with Tatiana! I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dedicated and talented piano teacher!
Tatiana Viscun is an excellent piano teacher, and I feel fortunate to have found her. She has been teaching me since January 2021. I’m a physician who wanted a creative outlet and needed something to add balance and beauty to my life. Not only am I an adult student who had never taken lessons before, but also, I began taking lessons at the height of remote learning. Needless to say, it has been a wonderful experience. She is an extremely talented and knowledgeable pianist, and she is highly intuitive. She is patient with my unpredictable work schedule and keeps me feeling connected and on track. She doesn’t just teach the technical aspects of playing piano. She also teaches music theory and history. She is so engaging that I often forget we’re not in the same room. I should also add she is an interesting person with a kind spirit. I would recommend her to anyone interested in taking piano lessons. She is a real gem.
I returned to piano lessons as an adult after 50 years. The best thing I did was pick Tatiana for a teacher. I was very nervous about meeting her but she put me right at ease. She found out my history and my musical tastes. From the first lesson we were remote due to the pandemic. I have grown immensely under her tutelage. At our last lesson I was sharing with her what an amazing pianist and person I consider her to be. I’m out of town right now and today will have a lesson on a piano that is totally out of time and she makes it work . Anyone wanting to learn piano is lucky to have her as a tescher
Tatiana is a wonderful piano teacher. From a technical standpoint, she will practice diligently with any student, taking as much time as needed so that her students can perform pieces accurately and with the right emotional dignity. From a cultural standpoint, she educates her students on the history and importance of any piece or composer that is assigned. I had to stop taking lessons with her due to my move away from New York, otherwise I definitely would have continued with her long into the future! :) She is a great teacher and any student would be lucky to learn from her.
Tatiana is a fantastic classical piano teacher and I am very thankful to have her as my teacher. As an adult student with prior piano experience, she helped me further my maturity, knowledge, and technicality of classical piano. Tatiana teaches the technicality of the pieces but, even more importantly, she helps you understand the overall musicality of the piece to help you play as the composer intended and also connect with the piece emotionally. Although we have been practicing remotely, Tatiana easily teaches through this medium and our practices are valuable and worthwhile. Additionally, the piano lessons are enjoyable but at the same time challenges you to do your best. Lastly, she really cultivates a great teacher-student relationship that extends beyond the piano lesson and shows care for her students. Highly recommend for a sophisticated, knowledgable, classy, and amazing piano teacher!!!
