Place is clean well stocked but the owners are kinda nasty as others have expressed....been stopping here for years when in the area in the summeritme and always understood the prices are going to be higher and honestly pay them all the time without saying anything ...Ran in for a gallon on milk and nothing else ...rung me up and it was $9.50
I guess I'm usually distracted because I'm buying a bunch of stuff but I simply said to the woman behind the counter geez, I understand you gotta be a little higher then other places closet who may pay less being not out of the way but almost double for a gallon of milk at the keyfood 2 miles down in long beach
Instead of a cordial answer or explanation on the pricing the woman who was working there that apparently is the owner kinda scolded & berated me for asking a legitimate question about why its almost 100% more then other stores
She told me " I don't know what it's like to be in business"And if I don't like the price, "just put it back and yeah, go somewhere else" So guess what I will and did
I've been going to Point Lookout for gotta be a decade and I always went there and got not only gas, which is only twenty cents more a gallon than other places, which is completely reasonable and other supplies but after this visit I wont be going back as they clearly know ZERO about being nice and EVERYTHING ABOUT PRICE GOUGING and scolding customers
The crazy thing after she immediately got nasty I said mamm iam in business and understand things cost more and that has to passed along in goods sold to give her a soft landing to be nicer reply & she went right back at me and told me sternly that I wasnt in business and didnt know what I was talking about
It's really crazy because it's a small business in an area that's not that busy And seasonal ..... I frequent all the other businesses inthe area and have no problem paying more , but I don't know this woman just chased one of her customers away because of her nasty disposition
I'm sorry you felt obligated.
To berate me to me instead of just having a positive and agree to disagree ...I would have come back if you didnt need to tear me down
