The Bucket

If you spent a summer in Woodridge and didn’t eat at The Bucket, did you even really go up to “the country”?
This place is the official headquarters of fleishig cravings. You know that moment after Mincha/Maariv when the oilam is schmoozing on Green Ave and someone says, “Nu, let’s go for wings?” — everyone’s feet just automatically start walking to The Bucket.
Their menu is basically a love letter to good, crispy, saucy, geshmake fast food. The wings come out piping hot, perfectly fried, and shmeared in all types of sauces — sweet, spicy, sticky, and everything in between. You order “just a small thing to taste,” and suddenly there’s a full tray on the table with wings, fries, poppers, and half the Heimishe velt walking in behind you.
The fries? Serious parnassah. Crunchy on the outside, soft inside, exactly what you want with a cold drink and a good schmooze. Portions are generous — real bungalow-colony style — nobody’s leaving hungry. It’s the kind of place where you “order for two people” and somehow feed four.
The vibe inside is relaxed and leibidik:
Bochurim arguing which sauce is the best
Families sharing platters
Friends meeting “just for a few minutes” and staying an hour
Even now while it’s temporarily closed, people are still talking about it like a legend:
“Remember that Thursday night run to The Bucket?”
“Those wings by The Bucket mamish hit different…”
When it’s open, The Bucket is the spot in Woodridge for a proper fleish party — no fancy airs, just solid kosher fast food done right, with plenty of shtick, shmoozing, and full stomachs. Highly recommended once they reopen — your diet can wait till Elul.

Drove by on my way to pick up a load, walked back and did not regret it! The pastrami is succulent and the fried swirls were amazing! Next time I’m in the area, this will be a must stop.

The most fresh chicken anywhere everything taste amazing the workers are really friendly a big shout out to uncle Moish for really keeping it running smooth and of course this year’s new addition Shimi.
This is the place I go when I’m hungry or even just a snack it’s really good.

Rarely do you find a fast food place that delivers delicious, perfectly prepared food every single time.

Their buffalo poppers are crunchy on the outside and superbly juicy on the inside, and their sandwiches are delicious too, and what a wide ranging menu, unbelievable!

Loved this place. Took it on the go. Fresh and tasty. Easy to order. They moved very quickly. Place is nice but tight inside. Clean bathroom and kitchen. What more can you ask for?
