If you’ve spent even five minutes in Woodridge, you already know: Chezky’s Pizza is basically the community headquarters.
Chezky’s isn’t just a pizza shop — it’s that classic country-town hangout where the pizza is hot, the fries are fresh, and the chevra is even hotter (from running in and out between Mincha and Maariv).
The pies here hit that perfect balance: crispy crust, leibidik cheese pull, and a sauce with real taam, not the watery stuff you get in a random rest stop off the highway. You take one bite and you’re like, “Okay, this is not stam bungalow pizza — this is the real deal.”
And it’s not just pizza. The falafel, knishes, calzones, fries, and all the extras are mamash geshmak. You can come in “just for a slice,” and somehow walk out with half the menu, a story, and a couple of new friends.
The vibe inside? Total Israeli–yeshivish blend. You’ve got the heimishe oilam, a few bochurim shmoozing in the corner, kids running around with slushies, and music playing just enough to give you that “I’m on vacation in the mountains” feeling. It’s the unofficial Vaad HaCountry Meeting Place — if you sit there long enough, you’ll bump into your neighbor, your chavrusa, your cousin, and probably your landlord too.
Service is friendly and patient, even when the place is hopping. They handle the Erev Shabbos and Motzaei Shabbos rush with a smile — and somehow your order still comes out right, piping hot, and b’hiddur.
So yeah, Chezky’s Pizza is one of those spots that makes Woodridge feel like home. Great food, heimishe atmosphere, and real “Israeli vibes” with a yeshivish twist. Can’t wait for them to reopen — because for many of us, a trip to the country just doesn’t feel complete without a slice (or three) from Chezky’s.
