Priuskings Hybrid Battery Repair CT

After some initial hesitation, I purchased the battery. It required a deposit only.
I paid the balance when the job was completed.
The technician, Max, was excellent. He kept in contact with me from the time I left the deposit until the job was completed. He did at least three diagnostic tests while I was with him. He made sure the car would run well. And it does.!!!!

I saved a lot of money using the “Kings” instead of the dealer.!!!

Originally I was going buy a battery outright and install it myself, but the installation fee was very reasonable and went that route. The whole process for a hybrid battery install took under 45 minutes. Technician was incredibly professional, called and gave updates on on time of arrival. Prius is back to where it was, no complaints.

I'd come across the Priuskings a while back by chance when searching for a reputable place to repair my car in general. They had such stellar reviews, I called them but they said they really only dealt with the Hybrid battery.

Fast forward to last week when my 2005 Prius with 127,000 miles broke down after a few weeks of rough riding. I thought it might be the transmission, but after towing the car to a Toyota Dealership 15 miles away they determined it needed a new Hybrid Battery and were happy to charge me $2800.

I remembered about the Priuskings and wrote them an email which was answered immediately. They suggested several options and after a phone call with Aric, we decided the best thing to do was to get the Gen.3 battery with a lifetime warranty.

We set up an appointment for 2 days later and he drove from Brooklyn to New Jersey and arrived on time, and did the replacement in under an hour. He was very thorough, extremely knowledgeable, incredibly pleasant, laid back and answered my many questions as he did the work.

He drove the car around for a while to make sure it was all better and then off he went to work on another car. I'd asked him how many of these things he's done, and he said "over a hundred". I don't doubt it. There wasn't a wasted moment as he removed nuts and bolts the back seats and a bunch of other things to get to the battery. I had such confidence in him.

It's always a drag when a hybrid battery fails and I wouldn't wish this on anybody, but when it happens, it's always nice to know there's a company you can trust who will do the job and do it faster and better and cheaper than a dealership. All said and done, I was able to save over $600 on the new battery, including the cost of them driving to my location.

Prius Kings rocks! I would guess every Prius dreads one thing in common...learning that the hybrid battery needs to be replaced. When I got that call last Friday, and the price tag of $4000+ to put in a new hybrid battery into my '07 with 183,000 miles at the dealer, I immediately began searching for a new Prius. I was SUPER fortunate to have a good friend who learned about my situation refer me to Prius Kings.

I did my due diligence on their web site and then picked up the phone. Aric, who many people mention in their positive reviews of Prius Kings, picked up the phone and walked me through the service where for under $2K, I would have a new Gen 3 battery with a lifetime warranty, and a system check! I have to say, it was the classic "too good to be true" moment, but the reviews, including one from a fellow Prius member who I've known for 20 years, all proved true.

Aric answered all my questions and we set an appointment for Monday at 3pm at my home...yes, you read that correctly, Aric comes to your house to do the replacement. He offered several payment methods to send a deposit, and he was at my house at 2:55pm. Aric was super chill, and just a great guy. I handed him the keys and went to drop my son off at his appointment for 3:30.

By 4:10pm, Aric was done!! He was also able to diagnose and correct a problem with the throttle that appeared out of nowhere. Super friendly, car was ready to drive and I haven't had any issues since (today is Saturday).

If you need to replace a hybrid battery, you would be foolish not to choose Prius Kings. They also offer other Prius services, and when I contacted Aric about an issue with my tailgate latch, he was kind enough to point me in the right direction on ebay to get the part even though he wasn't going to be part of the service.

A genuinely nice experience that saved me from having to buy a new car, and introduced me to a new resource for all my Prius repair needs! Thanks Aric!!
