Sensei O'Connor is an amazing instructor and person. He has created many alliances and friendships within the world of Aikido from all over the U.S. to Switzerland, Ireland, France, the Philippines, and more. We are so lucky to be able to train with him in N.J.! I have been a student for only 7 years. He has many loyal students (20-35+ years) that have shared in his journey.

Great Dojo to practice & learn Aikido with an Excellent Sensei (Greg O'Connor, 6th Dan), over 40 amazing instructors, friendly juniors, and ready to learn beginners. Best Aikido Seminars take place in this Dojo every year. Sensei O'Connor's Aikido and teaching skills are extremely hard to find. I started Aikido in this Dojo 8 years ago and my life changed. I will never forget my Aiki friends.

Sensei teaches every Tuesday and Thursday at noon and 6:30pm. Come and enjoy Aikido with ACNJ, you will never regret it!!!

I've been a student at the dojo for almost 13 years and I can't say enough about the quality of community that it represents. This is a group of outstanding people dedicated to practicing a complex and difficult yet incredibly satisfying martial art...but more importantly it is a place for friendship, support and growth.

The linchpin of the organization is Sensei Greg O'Connor, who has taken us all under his proverbial wing and provides the steady leadership and quality of instruction needed to maintain the highest of standards.

Underneath O'Connor Sensei is a talented group of caring and skilled instructors dedicated to both the art of aikido and the art of friendship.

The classes are both challenging and safe and are open to any level of fitness or experience. The facilities are world class.

I've trained at aikido dojos all over the world and I've been involved in martial arts for thirty five years, and I'm proud to call Aikido Centers of New Jersey home. Please come out and visit us and then take a step onto the mat. It may just change your life:)

If you want to get an idea of the level of instruction and practice at ACNJ, come to a Saturday morning class, which tends to be one of the busier days, and ask some of the senior students about their history in studying martial arts.

You'll find that a. most of them have extensive experience in other arts, which they left to practice Aikido with O'Connor Sensei and b. most of them have been practicing under O'Connor Sensei for 10-20 years.

The school has a cadre of very serious minded students, who have practiced for decades, just for a love of this unique martial art. These seniors are all highly dedicated to bringing others into the fold and helping beginners with all of the challenges.

As other reviewers have noted, this school treats people well, with respect, consideration and in a friendly, supportive manner -- while still practicing extremely advanced levels of a complex martial art.

    Strongly recommend watching a class.

Two of the most important factors for me in choosing to study Aikido at this facility have been the quality of the instruction and the terrific people I have had the pleasure to train with. This center offers world class instruction and some of the nicest people you could ever want to meet. Morning classes 6:00am are also available which have been perfect for my schedule and a great way to start your day. Seminars are also held at the facility with international instructors sharing their vast knowledge and culture. Just a first class facility all around. Love it!!!
