If you are looking for a new Tohatsu motor or an experienced mechanic, Al is the best around. I bought a new tohatsu 30hp from another dealer who did not install it correctly. After my visit with Al, my Saturn inflatable is zipping along the bay. He not only helped place the motor to the correct hight, he also insisted on taking us for a sea trail to make sure we were happy. I must say I'm happy we did during the sea trail, Al helped us find a better prop to get us moving more comfortably and fixed our over revving issue. We left the boat at the shop, and Al instantly put locks on the boat trailer, making us feel better having to leave the boat behind. He then took the extra step of adjusting the trailer so the boat will sit more securely and made it so we could attach to the ball hitch with ease at no extra cost. The best part is that he is VERY reasonable with his prices.

I did some research about Tohatsu with their known reliability and performance.
Was looking to replace a Yamaha 150 carbed 2 stroke for my 202 Sea Hunt.. The weight was a big factor and I did not want to go heavier. The MFS140 was perfect. Its weight was almost exactly what I had. Searching on line I found Almar Marine in Waretown. I heard alot of positive things about Alan the owner. When I went to the Atlantic City boat show, Alan was there and was very nice and explained everything about the 140, which was on display. He then worked up a price with everything I asked for. It was agreat deal, so within a week I told him lets do it.
Al treats your boat like his own. Everything was installed professionally proper and neat.
He went above and beyond doing many things that did not have anything to do with the install. He cleaned up my bilge areas remarkably, painted areas on my stern, anti fowled the Trim and Tilt as a precaution, upgraded the wiring harnes, a new gauge,installed my new steering and all was done as a courtesy. Als work ethic is unmatched, he nevers stops, and he takes photo updates to keep you informed. Will also call or text you with any questions to make sure everything is exactly what you want. I dropped the boat off on a Saturday and was test riding it the next Saturday and brought it home. Al fine tuned it with a few props and different weight conditions. I feel my boat is better then when I dropped it off! Al is a wealth of knowledge and works on all types of outboards. He is very personable and easy going. He also served our country for 25 years! Nice to do business with a Veteran. Anythng you need done, do yourself a favor and go see Al. Especially if you are shopping for a new outboard. You will not regret!

Repowered my Carolina Skiff with a new Tohatsu 30 hp tiller outboard from AlMar marine at the AC boat show. Dropped off the boat and picked it up 1 week later, motor installed, propped, tested and even had the bottom painted !
Al kept me in the loop with texts, phone calls, and photos of the progress. He even took me for a test ride the day of pick up.
Great experience from start to finish !!!

Hands down the best dealer to repower your boat, put a brand new 30hp Tohatsu on my 16 foot aluminum boat and I couldn’t be happier!!! My boat absolutely FLIES with full tanks, fishing gear and two 250lb guys. Below are some videos of my motor while breaking it in. Will post a full throttle run when I get the chance. Al took great care of me and my buddy, we both got motors from him and he truly goes above and beyond to make sure you’re happy. Can’t wait for the warmer months to run my boat!!
