I’ve been to this hospital a few times. Last time pretty serious. Everyone from the ER nurses techs and doctors are always professional, courteous and caring. I just spent 4 days on the third floor ward and the nurses and techs were just unbelievable. Thanks to you all for taking such good care of me.
I'm not a fan. If possible I definitely try to avoid this hospital. If you must go here for an emergency, it will really depend on what Dr. and nurses are on duty as to whether you have a good experience or not. As far as visiting others that have been admitted, I have had horrible experiences. Recently I had a family member put on hospice care after being admitted and was not able to go home. They were alert and able to talk on the final 2 days of their life, so obviously her and her family wanted to visit to say goodbye! Her family members were told only 2 ppl could go up at a time on the first day and then told only one at a time the next day. When asking security if it was a new policy, we were told it's been that way for a while. Then after letting 2 grandkids go up that first day, we were told that kids under 18 were not permitted to visit. Also on that first day of the visits, while we waited our turns to visit, we were told to wait in the cafeteria so we were not crowding up in the waiting room. This definitely made sense but then the next day we were told by security that we were not allowed to wait in the cafe and were told we needed to go outside and wait. Apparently the policy changes daily at this hospital. We just felt that in a time of grieving for a loved one that was abt to die, a place like a hospital should have something in place to provide for the families better. I'm sure when certain employees or special ppl are in the same position, the rules are bent a little to accommodate them! So hopefully nobody ever has to deal with this horrible scenario and are at this medical center. My wish is they change their plans of action in the future to make this situation a little easier for the families that do!
