Nurtured Breastfeeding and Lactation Support

Heather is fabulous! She saved me my sanity and fixed the issue that was causing me to develop mastitis. She truly cares about helping women, and she went above and beyond to take care of me. I would highly recommend her to anyone! 10 stars!

Heather has been helping me in my breastfeeding journey of my second born. After a successful 15 months of EBF my first born, I was humbled by having a different experience with my second.

Heather reached out to me when I asked in a local mom’s Facebook group for recommendations on specialists for tongue ties after suspecting my daughter has one. She introduced herself and genuinely wanted to know what was going on. We messaged through out the day, she answered questions and listened to my concerns. After speaking with her, I didn’t even need to look her up. I felt confident that she could help and she has!

Her visit provided so many tools I needed to help my daughter. And insight for myself husband. She referred us to a great OT and doctors who specialize in tie releases.

What stands out the most about Heather is her responsiveness. She keeps open communication and has been a sounding board as we figure out what our plan of care will be for our daughter. To release or not to release. Heather has not pushed for either or but has checked in offering personal and professional advice. I’ve had one consultation and it was worth every penny! For the help we received that day but even more for the support she has been providing afterwards.

Heather is absolutely incredible and helped us more than I can say! I got mastitis on mother's day of all days (happy first mother's day to me!) and frantically googled lactation consultants near me. I called Heather in a panic not expecting her to answer and she not only answered but spent a substantial amount of time on the phone with me listening to my story and giving me advice. She then came over the very next day and has been helping us on our breastfeeding journey since (which has been going much smoother thanks to Heather!). You can tell this isn't just a job for Heather- she truly cares about you and your family! She is a wonderful, kind person and is such a wealth of knowledge. I highly highly recommend working with Heather- you will not regret it!!

I can't emphasize how absolutely amazing Heather has been in my breastfeeding journey. My daughter and I were dealing with a shallow latch, body tension, painful nipples and falling asleep during nursing sessions and within one visit, Heather addressed them all. At 3 days out from our appointment it is still a work in progress, but Heather has remained so supportive and encouraging. After seeing another lactation consultant the week prior and having been left feeling overwhelmed and discouraged, Heather was exactly who I needed to help. She truly was made for this role and I am so grateful I found her!

So glad I used Heather as my lactation consultant. She was available next day which eased my worries about breastfeeding and pumping. Heather offered great tips and also evaluated our daughter for a tongue tie. I felt a lot more confident about breastfeeding and received sizing for my pump flanges above and beyond the minimal details I got in hospital. Heather is also very kind, courteous and friendly. She answered all of my questions and was available for follow up.
