The Pastry Garden

We felt SO lucky that our venue had a deal with the pastry garden to include our wedding cake within the venue fees. The pastry garden truly did better than we could have expected! I forget the name of the lovely woman I had the pleasure of talking to but every experience I had with them was easy and helpful. She was upbeat and kind when I told her what samples we wanted, she also gave me some feedback on a few fillings I was indecisive about, and I’m so glad I went with her suggestions. I almost cried when I noticed the cake at my wedding, it was prettier than I expected and they did such a great job with the flower placement (see picture). We went with a white cake with white chocolate mousse and peanut butter mousse and WOW people raved to us about the cake! The venue sent us home with a few extra slices and we savored them, it was so delicious! We are planning on ordering some smaller cupcakes or tasting minis on future anniversaries because we were that obsessed with our cake.

The Pastry Garden has been in Poughkeepsie for years, and there’s a reason people keep going back. Their cupcakes are fun and unique, especially the cannoli one. I bought the turkey rice crispy treats for Thanksgiving, and they were cute, delicious, and fairly priced at three dollars each. The macaroons are always great, and the pies looked so good that I found myself wishing I had ordered one.

I love this bakery. I stop in pretty often for assorted pastries and within the last year have gotten all of our cakes from here. We’ve never been disappointed. A few months ago we got our son’s baptism cake here and last week we got his first birthday cake & decorated sugar cookies. We were thrilled with everything. I wish I took more/better photos of everything to show how talented they are. The process of ordering has also been super easy and the girls working are always very nice.

Getting our wedding cake from The Pastry Garden was one of our favorite parts of the whole wedding! The cake tasting was so much fun, and we loved being able to work with them to create a custom cake that was exactly what we wanted. They brought our vision to life, and it tasted absolutely incredible. Our guests couldn’t stop complimenting how delicious it was. We can’t thank them enough for making this part of our wedding so special!

We had the best experience working with The Pastry Garden! They were absolutely incredible from start to finish! The cake tasting was such a fun part of the planning process. We brought our parents along and got to try over six different flavor combinations, which made it such a memorable day for all of us. On the wedding day, the cake turned out so beautiful - exactly what we had imagined, if not better. And the taste? Incredible. So many of our guests told us how delicious it was and that they wished they had grabbed a second slice! We couldn’t be happier and highly recommend!
