Dr. Cook is great. This review should not be seen as anything negative about her performance as a doctor. While sitting in the waiting room for my wife’s appointment, the lady working the front desk had three calls immediately after each other that she answered and immediately put on hold, then went back to having a personal conversation with her coworkers (not work related).
Hopefully the people on hold didn’t have something urgent they needed from the doctor, as it’s been more than ten minutes since the first call and she still hasn’t taken a phone call. I have no issue with employees having personal conversations with coworkers at work, but when there is work to be done, that work should come first.
Bad perspective on display in front of patients in the waiting room. What are the chances some of these patients are going to choose to go somewhere else next time because of this employee’s actions?
I went to this practice for several years. Then the provider I was seeing left the practice and I was assigned a new provider there that I liked very much. A few years ago I began to work for one of the major hospitals in the area and switched providers to that hospital (because there were no co-pays!). I no longer work for that hospital and called this practice back and made an appointment as a new patient. I arrive for my appointment and the front desk tells me that since I left the practice I am not welcome back. The person who scheduled my appointment was new and didn’t know to tell me that. Interesting policy.
