This job was completed with exceptional attention to detail from the beginning to end. Our salesman was extremely knowledgeable of the available products and how they would interface with our home. Once this was worked through, the installation crew arrived to do the work. This was a professional group of men that provided a stress-free experience throughout the completion of our project. They finished the job on time and left the property very clean and neat. The company followed up with us to ensure we were completely satisfied, which we are!! We would recommend 5-Star for any of your home projects!!!

It's been over 3 months since Five Star Home Remodeling completed our 2 bathroom projects and we couldn't be happier. Larry was the first contractor we met with and the day after our meeting he provided us with a proposal. Larry made it very clear he wasn't going to chase us for his business and I appreciated his transparency. After meeting with 3 other contractors, we realized Larry was the right fit for us and our budget. The other contractors we met with were marking up the fixtures and materials and claiming a project management fee for the mark ups. Larry was up front and indicated we had to store all the materials in our home and that allowed us to save a significant amount and select the fixtures we wanted for our project based on our budget. Once the project started, Larry was onsite every day to make sure the project was progressing based on his timeline. One night we had an issue with the plumbing and when I reached out to Larry he was able to send a member from his team to resolve the issue after 8PM on a Friday night. At the end of the day, the experience was extremely enjoyable and we couldn't be happier with the work that was completed by Five Star Home Remolding. Thanks Larry and team!!!!

In July 2021, we contracted with Larry Hopkins/Five Star Home Remodeling to build a new bathroom in our basement, after many years wanting to add a bathroom to our home. We are happy we chose to work with Larry! Of the dozen contractors we spoke with, Larry impressed us with the most sensible view of what was involved, as well as an expectation of personalized attention and quality work; this indeed turned out to be true!
Larry’s process worked well for us: he painstakingly drew up the plans and promptly submitted the township permits, efficiently scheduled the day-to-day work, diligently arranged the various inspections (passed without exception!), and cheerfully addressed our many questions.
We chose the shower and wall tile, plumbing fixtures, and vanity from Larry’s recommended vendors, and were pleased with the vendors’ selections and customer service. We chose the remaining materials, including flooring, lighting, shower door, etc on our own. Larry’s crew did all the demo, rough and finish plumbing and electrical, tiling, and painting. Separate contractors installed the flooring and shower door.
Larry’s crew followed our wish to enter the work area from the rear of the home, to avoid passing through the kitchen and living areas, and this made us (the wife especially) so happy that the disruption to the household routine was minimal! The work area was walled off with plastic sheeting to keep down the dust, and all the debris from the job was piled in a small area in the rear of our home until it was hauled away at the end. From start to finish, the work that was done in our home, including all inspections, was completed over the course of just a few months, mainly because Larry will not begin a project until all the materials are on-site.
Larry is very detail-oriented, organized, and pleasant to work with because he is a good communicator and takes pride in the work he and his crew do. We are happy to recommend Larry and Five Star without hesitation!

Larry and Five Star Home Remodeling did an outstanding job on our home remodel project. The project included a completely new MBR, knocking down an interior wall and installing a beam, which opened up the floor plan for our kitchen / living room remodel. They installed a new kitchen, redid the flooring, installed new downstairs bathroom, and new downstairs flooring. His team of subcontractors did quality work and we were very pleased with the pace, quality and experience of working with them on this major project. Besides being an excellent communicator and organized contractor, Larry is also just an all around great person to deal with. I would strongly recommend him and his firm for home remodeling projects.

After meeting with Larry/5 Star and several other contractors, my wife and I decided that Larry would be the best fit to remodel our kitchen. We ultimately chose Larry because we liked him from the start, his reputation preceded him, and we appreciated his honesty. Being completely new to remodeling a kitchen, Larry was very patient, flexible, and supportive during the entire planning phase. Larry would often meet with us to discuss the new kitchen’s layout and hardware design. The actual work did not start until we had everything completely finalized, which we appreciated because we never felt pressured to do anything. Once the design layout was complete, the actual kitchen remodel started. Larry was extremely organized and had everything (plumbing, floors, electrical, permits, etc..) pre-booked which was great because there was very little lag time! His crew was very good and made sure all dust and debris were cleaned up every day. They also made every attempt to “isolate” all the dust/debris just to the kitchen by taping plastic sheets and tarps around all doors/hallways leading to the kitchen. Overall, from start to finish, our experience working with Larry was very good and would use him again in the future.
