The best psychologist on Earth.
Excellent and caring
I'm currently under Dr Vaccarella's care. I feel blessed that I found him. I.see him weekly as I am dealing with severe anxiety due to my father's dementia and some other personal issues. He is the best Psychologist I've worked with in my life and I have *plenty* of experience. I was about to have a complete mental breakdown and from our first visit he's been helping me to learn to manage my anxiety. I feel very comfortable that I can speak freely to him about anything. He is kind and a good man and I trust him explicitly to assist me with my journey to wellness.
He practices CBT, which really is the only way to quell the negative thoughts, irrational fears and anxiety/panic.
He's a very busy man, but he answers or returns every call and if I need to speak to him, I know that he will answer or call me back as soon as possible.
I've seen some reviews saying he is rude or doesn't care. That is absolutely false. He cares about people very much. He has a very busy practice, he answers the phone in case of emergency and sometimes needs to make it short and get to the point quickly because he's in session with a client. He takes time with every client so as to provide the best care possible. He is very honest, no BS type of person which is exactly what I need, because I am the same. If you're looking to be coddled or magically fixed, he's probably not the doctor for you. You have to work to get better, he's there to listen, guide and help you help yourself.
My experience with this Doctor is incredible recently. He is a great listener, understanding, trusting, compassionate, respectful and I enjoy every session I experienced with him. I give him a five star. He knows what he's doing and how to diagnose and treat people in every way possible. All my years of therapist and doctors I never thought I'd find someone good until I ran into him. I highly recommend his services. He can deal with a whole range of issues including substance abuse, mental illness, coworker experiences, traumas, you name it, he'll see you through it. When I walk out I always feel better than walking in, he's better than taken a dose of prescription medications. Get well soon to his loved one as well. Great work DR V.
