What a sweet discovery! The White Whale and it's owners offered a warm welcome and a peaceful three day retreat in early September. Feels like home.
Love this quaint little motel! Clean & comfortable. I've been staying here for years. Great location & value. Walking distance to the Lighthouse and ice cream parlor. If you like quiet, this is the place to stay!
Just completed a fantastic 3 day stay at The White Whale. This was the third year in a row I have stayed here. In my opinion this is the BEST place to stay when visiting LBI. George, his staff and in my experience the other guests, are all so friendly, it feels like you're staying with family. I'll be back next year.
The White Whale Motel is just a short walk away from the L.B.I. lighthouse and the Bay Area. The sunset is spectacular, and you can see the lighthouse from the suite we had. It has two bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, and all the amenities to cook a home-cooked meal in the kitchen. It has a lovely sun room and a small deck.
The suite is a bit dated, but for me that adds to the cozy charm of the 1970's.
Been staying at The White Whale almost every year for quite awhile and it never disappoints. Rooms are clean and cheerful. service is great. If you need something, just ask. Owners and staff are friendly. Local to Barnegat Light House, good fishing, and a few nice eateries....After a recent stay I left a jacket behind and the owner is mailing it to me *****
