John is awesome! Great Customer Service and always helps me and my family pick out the best frames. Small business old school guy, does it the right way.

I was looking for a local spot to buy glasses with good customer service (too many chains in NYC – I always feel rushed!) and found Ansonia. I really don't leave reviews, but I knew I had to for them, because if this helps more people find Ansonia, too, then it will have been worth every second of my time. They're only open three days a week, which makes getting in the door more of a commitment, but once you're there, you'll be getting incredible customer service with true hands-on experience courtesy of John, the owner, who told me he's lived in Brooklyn his entire life. He takes tons of time to get to know you, your face, your needs out of glasses/sunglasses, your prescription, and more. I will be using Ansonia for all my eyeglasses needs moving forward and I really hope this encourages more people to do so, too!
I’ve never posted a review before but this place is really out of the ordinary. An exceptional collection of vintage Italian frames, and some of the best customer service I’ve ever had. John is such a wonderful and knowledgeable guy. This place is an absolute gem. I bought some sunglasses and I’m going to bring every glasses-wearer I know here.
So personable, professional and really great people. John is awesome with the kids and had the best looking frames.
