Connections Speech Therapy

We’ve been working with Kathy for almost 4 years and I could not be more grateful to have her on our team. She is expert level at bringing out the best in your child. Kathy is caring, fun, extremely knowledgeable, and understands that different children (regardless of diagnosis) learn in different ways. Not all kids respond well to them same therapy techniques. She learned what works for my daughter, learned her interests, and uses that information to structure her therapy sessions. And it’s working! She’s learned so much since we met Kathy. Plus she’s an incredible support to me as a parent. I will be eternally grateful to her for being part of our team.

Our son has seen Ms. Kathy for 3+ years and has made leaps and bounds in his progress. He has severe developmental and speech delays on top of English being his second language! She is extremely patient with his unique behaviors and very accommodating to our schedules. Highly recommend!

Ms. Kathy did speech therapy with both of my children leading up to kindergarten. She made it very easy by coming right to their daycare. Both children made a lot of progress while working with her, and she makes the work feel like fun to them! I highly recommend her for anyone who needs speech therapy services.

I recently moved into the area and, as a lifelong stutterer in his thirties, I was eager to resume speech therapy. I decided to go with Kathy Hindman's practice and I could not be more satisfied with the therapy I received from here. I've seen many speech therapists in my time and the practice requires a finely tuned balance of sympathetic listening, professional 'brass tacks' techniques and a bit of tough love now and then. Ms. Hindman strikes the right balance of all three, even for adult stutterers. I could not more strongly recommend a speech therapist for anyone looking in the central Jersey area.
One thing I feel should be pointed out is that Ms. Hindman does not submit insurance claims for her patients. This is entirely her choice but be aware that you'll be submitting your own insurance claims if you see her. Depending on your insurance carrier this could be as easy as doing your shoelaces or as painful as replacing a flat tire. On the freeway. In the middle of winter. With just one hand!

My Granddaughter received Speech Therapy for 3 years from Kathy Hindman. Kathy made such a difference in Emily's life with her positive approach, kindness, patience, and teaching skills. Emily needed Speech Therapy, as she was unable to express herself using words, causing frustration, and sometimes acting out with bad behavior. Emily's language greatly improved, and so did her behavior. With kathy's help, Emily was able to do well in Preschool, and be ready for Kindergarten. Our family is truly grateful for Kathy.
